Our Method
Think about how many songs you can sing without looking up the lyrics.
Over a lifetime, we effortlessly retain thousands upon thousands of words from songs, hymns, children's music, advertisements, and other things we've heard repeatedly.
The question isn't, “Can our brains retain large amounts of text?” Clearly, they can. The question is, "What would happen if we became more intentional about what we put there?"

Music helps God's Word stay in our hearts.
"Now therefore write this song and teach it to the people of Israel... And when many evils and troubles have come upon them, this song shall confront them as a witness, for it will live unforgotten in the mouths of their offspring."
Deut. 31:19,21
Most of us know this intuitively. Words set to music have a way of staying with us long after other information is forgotten.
Interestingly, Scripture itself gives us a striking example of music being used for remembrance.

God didn't design Christians to live in iscolation. He designed children to learn in the context of family, family to learn in the context of the local church, and the local church to learn from others in the universal Church! What better way to encourage children, families, and churches than by meeting likeminded believers who likewise prioritize Scripture immersion, by spending a week memorizing a chapter of the Bible together!
