Ballet 31's mission is to build biblical character through classical ballet training. This production features students from worhsip class course and the division class course. Worship class is a 10 week course taught by Kayla Green with a focus on on training dancers to worhsip God in their hearts as well as thier bodies as they fix thier minds on the text of scripture throughout class and rehersal time. Throughout the course dancers went through 3 sets of psalms, with one joyful psalm and one peaceful psalm each. During dancers focused on different attributes or parts of the psalm to meditate on while we do each exercise. The focus of this class is the mindset of worship we should have while dancing. Division class is rumored the hardest mosst edifying fun you will ever have. The 10 week course is designed as a rigoursus ballet intensive pairing heart discipline with bodily discipline. Dancers started by creating rigorous goals both spiritually and physically including a daily prayer goals, Bible reading goals, and targeted sin/santification goals. Each dancer chose a diffrent area of character to focus on and create a specific practical daly battle strategy on how to conquer in their area of growth. Students from both division class and worship class will be sharing what they have learned both physically and spiritually through their meditation on the Psalms and discipline of their hearts.
